Every other weekend I have a 3 day weekend off the day job … but not sure why these seem to go quicker than my 2 day weekends? Any ideas? No, nor me, but anyway it was back to work today and after a long day I need to get lots done this evening so I best get right on with showing you a card I made for my parent’s anniversary.
This features another stamp set from an earlier mini catalogue which has made a welcome return into the Main catalogue, Perfect Postage.
I used the colour combo of Rose Red, Old Olive and Basic Grey – a new one for me, but I quite like it! The card was layered up with the ever so useful and great value Designer Series Paper Stack papers for the background, to tie in with the spotty theme of the cute heart stamp.
I stamped the image 9 times in a mix of the two colours and punched out with the Postage Stamp punch – you gotta love Stampin’ Up! and their coordinating products. I then layered them up on a layer created with the Scallop Square Bigz die and attached to the front of the card.
For added impact I stamped 3 more hearts and snipped them out with the Paper Snips and raised them up on dimensionals … after adding some all important doodling! The card was finished off with some of the Adhesive Basic pearls and I did stamp some hearts on the inside for further decoration, but forgot to photo that bit!
Which of the returning stamp sets is your favourite … I would love to hear? In fact, I’d love to hear any comments you have, so please do pop by and say hi.
Hasta la próxima / until next time
