Hello, it’s took a wee while, but I’m back with another post in my Digital Domingo series. Today I have my Baby Thank You cards to share. This project was always something I wanted to use My Digital Studio (MDS) for, as with lots of lovely generous friends and family I knew I had a lot of thank you cards to make, and I wanted to make something personal, so MDS was the perfect solution.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The postcard was designed in MDS. You can set the size of the project you want, so I created a new project so it would be just smaller than 1/4 of an A4 sheet – great for printing it out and layering onto Real Red cardstock.
- I used the On the Go Digital Kit for the cloud Designer Series paper and the Aeroplane stamp – the great thing is I could change the colour of the aeroplane to suit my colour scheme with the stamp colouring tool.
- I wanted the aeroplane to tow a banner through the sky annoucning the arrival of our baby boy and MDS did not disappoint – I found just the thing in the April Showers Kit. The best thing is with instant downloads, no sooner had I decided I needed that stamp, then I was happily adding it to my project.
- I imported my photo into the project with a couple of simple clicks and then with the mat and drop shadow tools it soon took centre stage of the project.
- MDS uses the fonts installed on your computer, so you can use any font you download or purchase to add even more creativity to your projects.
- I wanted to add a little something extra so punched out some stars with the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and glued these on to the final project.
Here is my first batch all together. When you want to produce a lot of one particular card MDS does really come into it’s own – once designed it was easy to print and layer up onto cardstock ready to send out to all my lovely friends and family.
