New Colour Combination with the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop

by | May 26, 2018

Hello! Today sees the return of the Stampin’ Creative team and a couple of special guest blog hoppers. Whether this is your first stop on the hop or you have already been inspired by the other fab ladies, then welcome. This month we are joined by my lovely American friend Ginny from Celebrate the Journey and a fellow midlands based blogger Heidi from Flutter by Heidi.

Our theme was a simple one to do,  choose a colour combination to show off some of the new colours. There’s a range of new colours coming to the Stampin’ Up! colour families with the Colour Revamp. Here’s the project I created.

New colour combination is given a road test with the new Painted Glass Stamp Set, creating a cute gift set.

New Colour Combination

The new colour combination I used features 2 new colours and 1 returning favourite – Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce. This isn’t a colour combination I would normally pick, but I spotted it in a colour Coach Stampin’ Up! has provided us with and I’m always one to challenge the normal!

Colour Combination - Poppy parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce.

With the colour combination set, I chose to create with a new Stamp Set and framelit bundle which will be available from 1st June 2018 – Painted Glass Bundle. I created a  gift set of a card and matching gift box, using the large circular stamp to create a background design on both in Poppy Parade ink. I love tone-on-tone stamping for adding an effect without too much fuss.

The Painted Glass Stamp Set is available from 1st June 2018 - such a different and inspiring set and part of the Graceful Glass Suite

Most of all, my favourite part is the addition of the star of the suite – the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum – wow this is just gorgeous.  I used my Stampin’  Write Markers to color the back of the vellum for that stained glass look. Then I layered it onto Whisper White cardstock to really make the colors pop!

Envelope Punch Board Box

I used the Envelope punch board and a piece of  5 1/4″ of Poppy Parade cardstock to create the box – so simple to do! Leave me a comment if you would like to know how.

Finally, I decorated it simply with a few punched circles to create a nice topper and the stylish butterfly from the Painted Glass Bundle.

So what do you think? Is this a new colour combination you might give a try? Now it’s time to see what colour combinations the rest of the Stampin’ Creative have been creating with.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting and hasta luego,
