Today I’m joining in with the Stampin’ Creative blog hop and this month theme is Birthday fun. I’ve missed hopping with this fabulous team and when I saw the theme I knew which 2 cards I just had to share.
I used the Hippo Happiness stamp set and coordinating dies of Hippo and friends die’s. I love this collection – created by my friend Robyn Cardon for her 1 Million Sales Achievement. It’s just so cute!

The stamp set features unicorns, Hippo’s Lambs and Butterflies along with some fun sentiments like this hip-hippo-hooray one.
I love the fact the die set not only includes all the shapes to cut out the stamped images but some gorgeous label dies. Here I created a two-tone effect by die cutting 2 in contrasting colours and then cutting them in half and matching up.
Talking of colours, I went with a bright and fun combinations – perfect for fun Children’s birthday cards.
Card 1 features Bumblebee, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo whilst Card 2 opts for Bumblebee, Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather.
For this second card I created a Z fold card – I love these as they take the same amount of card as a normal C6 card but add a fun element
This card uses the unicorns from this same bundle … how cute are they. I know lots of little girls who would love a handmade card like this for their birthday. I used the other halves of the labels to create a similar effect and used some of the In Colour Designer Series Paper for a spotty background.
