For creating Christmas cards, it’s good to have a design that is quick and simple to create as we often have a multitude of cards to send out to friends and family. Today I’m sharing a perfect example of this, so if you haven’t yet started your Christmas cards, you can be inspired to get started,
Today’s card’s is also the first one of 3 different designs I will be sharing this week with the Whimsical Trees Suite.
Simple Stamped Christmas Trees Recipe
- On a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 9.5 x 13.9cm stamp the tree once in Soft Succulent and then once in Evening Evergreen.
- Stamp the same stamp onto 2 post it notes and cut it out so you have 2 masks. Place the masks over the stamped images and then stamp the spotty tree – this will mean it looks as if it is in the background.
- Add a piece of Open Weave ribbon and adhere to the back of the card.
- Stamp the sentiment
- Glue this layer to a piece of Evening Evergreen 10 x 14.4cm.
- Add to a cardbase of Soft Succulent.
- Finish off with some Red Rhinestones for sparkle.
Another top tip for batch creating lots of Christmas cards and not getting fed up is to take the same design and create it in different colour ways.
I decided to give it a fresh look with a layer of Polished Pink cardstock. I love this version too.
TOP TIP : To coordinate my gems with the new colour, I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour the Basic Rhinestones.
