Parisian Dies for the Stampin' Creative Love Blog Hop

by | Jan 30, 2020

Hello! I feel blessed that 2020 has kicked off with lots of love and friendship – hope yours has to? I’ve had lots of time this month crafting at my classes with both old and new friends and it truly fills my heart!

So why all the love? Well, today the Stampin’ Creative ladies are back with a whole range of handmade card ideas for love and friendship.

Parisian Dies by Stampin' Up! Valentines Card

I created this card using the Parisian Dies  from the Mini catalogue. It’s actually a card with no stamping – which is an absolute rarity for me!  However, I love these dies and wanted them to really be the star of the show.

The intricate Eiffel Tower die cut with ease as I used it with some Early Espresso cardstock. I then wanted to layer up the Amour die on top so used a piece of Vellum cardstock, lightly sponged in Real Red ink to give a nice soft layer for the sentiment to sit on.

The card was finished off with a strip of the From My Heart Speciality Designer Series papers – which work beautifully with these dies.

I finished off the card with a trio of Basic Pearls, coloured in with the Real Red Stampin’ Blend to match the colour combination and allow them to pop. I love how we can use the Stampin’ Blends to create embellishments in colours to coordinate with our cards.

So what do you think …. do the Parisian dies speak of Love and Friendship to you?

I love hopping with the Stampin’ Creative crew because they are so talented I always feel inspired – so be sure to click on the links to visit the rest of them.

Happy Crafting and hasta luego,

Have you ever brayered your paper?

Using a brayer in my cardmaking has become a new favourite of mine. They are so easy to use. I love how each card you create with a brayer is different, even with the same supplies. So this time I decided to brayer on paper. I brayered one of the subtle striped...
