Today I’m joining in with the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop! That means that everyone on the hop today are Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world that have achieved the prestigious Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip. It’s such a special trip and is open to anyone to aim for … some people have earned it in their first year as a demo!
You are here with Louise Sims at Stampin’ Delight. I am a demonstrator in Rugeley, Staffordshire in the UK and would love to help you if you have any questions about the products, how to earn a trip like this yourself, joining my team or anything crafty related! Just comment here and I’ll get back to you.
So for today’s hop we are sharing projects made with products from the Spring Summer or Sale-a-bration catalogues, and I thought seen as earning Alaska was something I wanted to do for my children, I would share the birthday card I made for my daughter, who is super happy to be coming on the cruise!
I used the Magical Day stamp set for the card, perfect for children and adults who are big kids too! I started with a 6″ square cardbase in Bermuda Bay and created a sun in Crushed Curry ink using my Stampin’ Sponge and a piece of scrap paper to create the sunrays! Such an easy but effective technique! A couple of punched circles completed the sun and finished off with a sheet of vellum to soften the look.
The unicorns might be my favourite character from the Magical Day Stamp Set – love them and colouring them in was such fun with the Stampin’ Write Markers, plus easy to die cut with the coordinating Magical Mates Framelits Dies when positioned on the Magnetic Platform.
Finished the card with the unicorns floating over some gorgeous Gimmer clouds – see how they sparkle! Oh my!!
Grace was very pleased with the card! She loves crafting with me and I love having the chance to do that with her. I can’t wait to introduce her to some of my Stampin’ Up! friends on the other side of the world. It’s going to be such a fabulous trip for all of us and even more so because I could never have taken them on such a bucket list adventure without Stampin’ Up! and growing my business and my team.
I’ll let you into a little secret … I made this card late at night, the day before her birthday!! I’m going to have to be so much more organised for George’s birthday as he turns 4 whilst we are away on the trip, a couple of days after we land back in Seattle – what a lucky little boy.
Time to Hop On!
