Happy Easter and welcome to the monthly get together of a few fellow demo’s to showcase projects on a similar theme – it is the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. You may have arrived from Eimear at Stampincolour – if so welcome. If this is your first stop on the hop, be sure to read through to the bottom so you can hop round the rest of the team.  This month the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop is following a layout designed by our royal member Queen Pip, which was this fab design :

So come and see how I interpreted it …

STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS

  • The Project Life Memories in the Making Stamp Set was my pick to give me a range of circles to work with. I love large squiggly circle and embossed this on Velum cardstock as my focal circle.

  • To achieve the various circles going across the layout I used the small splatter and for the larger circle I used the Love stamp … but without the love! Yep, a great tip for the photopolymer stamps is that some of them work well when used back to front. Here I used the back of the Love stamp to give me a solid circle. These were both stamped in Versamark and then embossed  with White embossing powder.

  • Over the top of the embossed circles the Whisper White cardstock was sponged with Daffodil Delight and Pool Party for a fresh spring feel. Finally a few punched out circles of Velum cardsotck, also sponged were added on top.

  • The Pool Party Glitter Ribbon adds a finishing touch and another texture to the card.

  • Another card was made following the layout – with the same colour combination but a bit more clean and simple in style. This card uses the inlaid embossing technique – this is simple to achieve and works best when using an Embossing Folder that has complete coverage. I opted for the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

  • The Inlaid embossing technique is created by adhering some punched out elements like these random circles and then running it through the Big Shot – the circles then appear to part of the same layer. Neat hey?
  • This card was finished off with a simple Vellum banner with a stamped and embossed greeting  from the Perfect Pairings stamp set – that’s one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order …. and not long left to earn the free items as Sale-a-bration ends on 31st March.

Hopefully you’ve liked my interpretation of the layout and now you can whizz over to the rest of the Stampin’ Creative Crew and see what they created – just click on the button below for the next stop on the hop.

What a cool idea, I love when you can achieve effects differently to what the stamp was intended for, and you have shown that perfectly, so thank you for sharing that,.. I love the fresh colours you used it reminds me of the Spring that is about to disappear without a trace!! And I love the way both cards look different too even with the same layout, xxx
