Wow …. it’s been 2 months since I’ve blogged. It’s been about the same time since I crafted, apart from a few required Christmas tags … yep I was in a crafty slump!
Life has been hectic with lockdowns and work so my crafting was pushed to one side but today I get to celebrate the return of crafting to my life with a Celebration style card. It’s the theme for this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop and the perfect excuse to clear the craft desk and get stamping.
So here’s my Celebration card for men which has kickstarted my crafting for 2021!
I used a brand new stamp set called You are Amazing which features a collection of bold greetings. I picked the Hip Hip Hooray one and stamped it as a border down the side using my Stamparatus and the hinge technique. It’s a snug fit but it works!
I love using a sentiment as the focus of a card – it makes for a modern look and suitable for those unfussy, cool men in your life.
I started with a card base in Night of Navy cardstock and added a layer of Smoky Slate to stamp the background border on. To add some bright colour to the card, I added touches of Bumblebee, finishing with stamping the greeting again onto Bumblebee cardstock and then cut out with a Circle die.
I finished the card off with a couple of little banners to create a look of a rosette – perfect for a celebration theme. This style of card is super easy to create for all manner of celebrations – birthdays, new job, indeed any accomplishment.
So for the last time in 2020, now it’s time to view creations from the other Stampin’ Creative ladies.
